“Inspired by the intrepid Frogmen of the 1960s and their striking orange wetsuits. Immortalised in comic books and movie posters, Frogman orange is the original color of underwater adventure. It is also associated with danger and the more perilous the mission, the more orange the wetsuit. Subdued by decades of exposure to sunlight and saline, once vivid scuba gear takes on a vintage coral hue. This distinctive colour now features on the newest and boldest addition to the Expedition rubber strap line up.”he ‘Frogman’ Expedition band is made from premium-quality, toxin-free rubber that is soft to the touch and adheres perfectly to the wrist. Insulative properties help it remain flexible at low temperatures, ensuring comfort during cold-water diving. It is also abrasion, distortion, heat and oil resistant. Embossed onto the smooth outer surface is a centimetres and inches rule and a 1:25000 cartographic scale. On the reverse is the Morse code alphabet and a metres, yards and feet conversion table. Manufactured by an artisanal Italian rubber specialist, with 40 years’ experience in strap development; and hand-finished in Switzerland with two brushed stainless steel keepers and a thorn buckle, signed ‘OWZ 1956’. This strap does more than just secure your watch to your wrist — it helps you calculate, translate and navigate. The Frogman Expedition Band is initially available as an option on the Ocean Graph and the P-104. We have had interest from existing OW customers and will make this available as an accessory in the new year (2024) . These are the very unique and popular ‘Expedition’ rubber straps that have straight ends and will fit all watches with 20mm lugs. They do not taper and therefore come with a 20mm pin buckle. Their length is 95/150mm including the logoed buckle. Please note that any watches shown in the photos are purely for representation purposes. You will only receive the strap.
