NOS 1980’s DOXA Ref. 4653 SUB 600T “Searambler” Aubry Diver Watch ETA Cal. 2872

Out of stock

From my personal collection, a rare NOS 1980’s ‘Searambler’ SUB 600T diver from DOXA’s [Swiss] Aubry era, that has been professionally serviced by Localtime.

A true diver from the 1980’s with a sparkling ‘wide-lume’ dial, set of cool black hands and the crown re-positioned to 4h by Aubrey who also started using bezels with inserts. The silver dial, set of 3 hands and bezel are simply stunning. The case measures 39mm or 43mm including the logoed crown at 4h. It is wearing its original/logoed steel bracelet with diver extension and comes with its service papers. I have included many photos of the watch, including some closeup snapshots I took just for fun. I also included some snapshots from the service bench that also show another NOS Divingstar which is for presentation only.

As with all the watches that I handle at Localtime, the BIN price includes a written 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.

Extra: Try my Localtime vintage-style Ladder-Type straps! I have found these straps to be an excellent value and very comfortable indeed. They come in 3 sizes [20-22-24mm] and have 2 floating keepers. They come in 7 colours [black, blue, brown, green, orange, turquoise and yellow]. Their length is 95mm on the buckle end [including the steel, screw-in buckle] and 135mm on the tail end. I will include a pair of good quality spring bars with each strap. They can be purchased separately in my store under item 401545611463. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.

Important Note: Sometimes I am asked what I exactly mean with ‘professionally inspected by Localtime’. Here is my theory on vintage watches: as a purveyor of vintage watches, my effort is to always do only what is needed to the watch. I do not buy ‘junk’ watches to resell. I am choosy with my purchases and always sell watches that are, to my knowledge, authentic and in good condition. I first inspect the watch, both visually (cosmetically) and then mechanically. If I judge that the watch is not yet in need of a full service then I do not put the watch through a service which, by the way, entails a lot of risks too. Instead, I give it what I call my ‘Spa’ treatment which will include a cleaning, changing of gaskets, oiling, lubricating and mechanical testing. If the plexi is heavily scratched or discoloured and it can not be cleaned, I change it. If the crown is wrong or worn, I also change it. Now, if the watch is in need of a full service, then my ‘professionally inspected’ description becomes ‘professionally serviced’. In both cases, I include a written warrantee with my buy it now price and I always describe what I have changed, if anything, on the watch.
