A wonderful example of a very rare pre-owned ERNEST BOREL ‘Super Bathyscaphe’ 20ATM diving watch that has been professionally restored and fully serviced by Localtime.
The stainless steel case has not been polished, houses an automatic ETA Cal. 2522 with date and measures in at 39mm or 42.50mm including the logoed crown at 3h. The beautiful black dial, bezel and hands are stunning. It is wearing a NOS black Tropic rubber strap. I have included many photos, including some closeup snapshots I took just for fun, but also some snapshots from the service bench, to allow you to enjoy the lovely details of this fine timepiece. I am including a same-period Ernest Borel box that did not come with the watch, but I thought it would serve well for it as a home.
As with all the watches that are handled by Localtime, the BIN price includes a written 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.
Extra: Try my Localtime tropic-style straps! Let’s face it, we all wish we could use the vintage, original type, but they are nowhere to be found anymore. If you do find them, they are very expensive or dry and stiff if they were not properly kept all these years. Not to mention the fact that 22 & 24mm are really rare as hen teeth. I have found these straps to be a good alternative to the vintage tropic straps and very comfortable. They come in 4 sizes [18-20-22-24mm] and with 2 smooth, floating keepers. The straps themselves are black and have a nice tropic pattern on them. Their length is 85mm on the buckle end [including the steel buckle] and 120mm on the tail end; so not short but not too long either. I include a pair of good quality speed pins too. You can see them on the photo here and they can be purchased separately from my eBay store under eBay item number 132475721565.
