Professionally inspected in-house here at Localtime, this is a great example of a classy 1973 Admiral HF Ref. L2301.3 dress watch by Longines [Swiss]. It comes with an extract from the Longines Heritage Department, a copy of which you can see in the last photo and that will be included with the watch.
The brushed steel case [35mm or 37mm counting the logoed crown at 3h] has been cleaned [not polished!] and the Longines Cal. 6942 movement inspected. A stunning watch that oozes class whichever angle you look at it from, this classic dress watch is wearing one of my own khaki Cordura canvas straps with Lorica lining [which comes in many colours and sizes and can be purchased separately from eBay item 401496392712], that we think compliments the white dial, silver hands and numerals/logo, very nicely. It also has its own box. I have included many photos of this beautiful timepiece, including some macro close-up shots I took just for fun.
As with all the watches I handle in-house here at Localtime, the BIN price includes a 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to ask me for whatever clarifications you might need.
Important Note: Sometimes I am asked what I exactly mean with ‘professionally inspected by Localtime’. Here is my theory on vintage watches: as a purveyor of vintage watches, my effort is to always do only what is needed to the watch. I do not buy ‘junk’ watches to resell. I am choosy with my purchases and always sell watches that are, to my knowledge, authentic and in good condition. I first inspect the watch, both visually (cosmetically) and then mechanically. If I judge that the watch is not yet in need of a full service then I do not put the watch through a service which, by the way, entails a lot of risks too. Instead, I give it what I call my ‘Spa’ treatment which will include a cleaning, changing of gaskets, oiling, lubricating and mechanical testing. If the plexi is heavily scratched or discoloured and it can not be cleaned, I change it. If the crown is wrong or worn, I also change it. Now, if the watch is in need of a full service, then my ‘professionally inspected’ description becomes ‘professionally serviced’. In both cases, I include a written warrantee with my buy it now price and I always describe what I have changed, if anything, on the watch.
Extra: Try my Localtime Cordura Canvas straps! Very excited about this new line of straps that I decided to carry. High quality Cordura canvas in 8 colours [black, blue, brown, khaki, green, orange, red and yellow] and 4 sizes [18-20-22-24mm with a 2mm tapering] with ‘Lorica’ waterproof liner, Italian-made. The length is 90mm including the steel buckle by 120mm on the tail side. Thickness-wise, they start at approximately 4mm and thin down to 3mm. They have two ring-holders: a fixed one and a semi-floating one with fabric ‘belt’ to hold the tail, for a safer and more comfortable fit. They will be a very welcomed upgrade to the either ‘naked’ canvas [no liner] or the calf-lined canvas which are considered of a ‘simpler’ quality. A pair of good quality spring bars will accompany each strap. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have. I sell these separately in my eBay store under eBay item number 401496392712.Share this watch:
