From 1973, a Seiko “Pogue” Ref. 6139-6002 chronograph with automatic Cal. 6139B that has been professionally inspected in-house at our Localtime Spa.
This Seiko model came to be known as ‘the Pogue’ because in 1973, Colonel William Pogue brought his Seiko 6139 Automatic Chronograph on board the Skylab 4 mission as part of his personal kit. He had purchased the watch from the PX at Ellington AFB, and although the watch wasn’t Flight-Approved by NASA, he was allowed to bring it on the flight. It is in wonderful condition throughout and as usual with this model, the honey gold dial steals the show. We have included many photos, including some closeup snapshots we took for fun. We are also enclosing some scans of advertisements and photos from the Skylab 4 mission. This lovely watch is wearing a dark blue ColaReb premium Italian calf leather strap.
As with all the watches we handle in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this too comes with a written 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact us for whatever questions you might have.
