1970’s Yonger & Bresson [France] 20ATM “Profondimètre” Diver – ETA Cal. 2783

Out of stock

A glorious Yonger & Bresson [France] 20ATM “Profondimètre” Diver that has been professionally inspected in-house here at our Localtime Spa. The large stainless steel case measures 43.25mm or 45.25mm including the large screw-down crown at 3h. The 25j ETA Cal. 2783 with date at 3h is sparkling and ticking away happily. The original Boron Tube [“Profondimètre”] plexi has been cleaned to maintain its originality. We have fitted this iconic watch with a new old stock same-period tropic style rubber strap, that we think fits the watch quite well. We have included many photos of the watch including some closeup snapshots we made just for fun! As with all watches that we handle in-house here at the Localtime Spa, a written 6-month warranty from the date of purchase will accompany the watch to you. Feel free to ask us any other information you might need.

P.S. The French word “Profondimètre” means depth-gauge in English. This particular watch model does that by using the Boron Tube principle on its plexi glass. A tiny hole on the side of the plexi at 3h allows water to enter the tube [that runs around the plexi]. As the water enters the tube, it reflects against the backdrop metal ring and ‘pushes against’ the trapped air [depending on the pressure at a given depth] to show depth in meters.
