Professionally inspected and approved in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this is a stunning example of a Heuer “Bund” SG 1550, dating from the late 60’s to the very early 70’s. An eye-catching watch from any angle you look at it, this massive miitary timepiece is one of the pieces we collectors know as “Bunds’, from the German word “Bundeswehr”. It is wearing a handmade premium calf leather strap custom made for Localtime [more information and variations in our eBay store under eBay item number 200976767141] and a matching steel Localtime screw-in thumbnail buckle [more information and variations here: 400485469612]. The watch is also shown on what is believed to be the original black bund strap it was initially issued on, which I have put on the side as a second option. We have made many photos, including a scan of the first page of a multi-page service manual in German, dated to 1972 [please ask us for a digital copy if you need it and we will email you one for your records to keep with your watch], as well as a scan of the original movement specification sheet. As with all the watches we handle in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this too will arrive to you with a 6-month written warrantee. Feel free to contact us for whatever questions you might have.
N.B. This watch was featured on FratelloWatches in December 2015 as one of four Bunds covered in an article by Michael Stockton, which you can read here: http://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-leonidas-heuer-bund-chronographs/
