A lovely yachting-timer timepiece from the late-1970’s [SN #8020067], this AQUASTAR [Swiss] ‘Regate’ gents vintage yachting timer, with an automatic Lemania Cal. 1345 movement, was professionally inspected in-house here at the Localtime Spa. It comes in its original box.
The unpolished large steel case has been lightly cleaned. The plexi glass has been changed to a new, correct one (I sell these plexis separately in my eBay store under eBay item number 202299805796. The stunning, silver dial, colourful rotating rings and hands are a feast to the eyes. The case measures 39mm or 42mm including the crown. A stunning watch from that glorious period, this classic yachting timer watch comes on one of my own ‘waffle’ rubber straps in orange, that I think compliments this lovely timepiece, quite nicely. I have made many photos of this beautiful timepiece, including some macro snapshots to allow you to enjoy the intricate details.
As with all the watches I handle in-house here at the Localtime Spa, the BIN price includes a 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
PLEASE NOTE: I have now sourced a correct, logoed crown and added it to the watch. You can see a quick snapshot I took if you scroll through the photos. The watch now has its original crown.
EXTRA! Check out the Localtime ‘waffle’ rubber straps: They come in 4 sizes [16-18-20-22mm], 6 colours of rubber [black, blue, brown, orange, red and yellow] and 6 different colours of stitching [white, grey, blue, orange, yellow and red]. The straps themselves have a ‘waffle’ pattern on top and a ‘grooved’ pattern on the bottom. Their length is 97mm on the buckle end [including the steel buckle] and 118mm on the tail end; so not short but not too long either. They have two floating keepers with the same rubber ‘waffle’ pattern. A good quality pair of spring bars is included with each strap. You can see them in the last photo here and they can be purchased separately from my eBay store under eBay item number 202061460884.
