Description

Professionally inspected inhouse by Localtime, this is a lovely example of an Omega Seamaster dress watch watch with Ref. 165.001 in solid stainless steel.

The case measures 34mm case or 36mm including the crown at 3h. It is an all original condition, unpolished and ready to wear or join your collection. Lovely white dial and gold hands and applied indices/logo, all come together to create a classy dress watch. I have included many photos, including some macro shots I took just for fun. It is wearing one of my own Localtime Cordura canvas straps in brown that, in my humble opinion, fits the watch quite nicely. You can see these straps in the last photo and they can be purchased separately from listing with item number 401496392712.

As with all the watches I handle at Localtime, the BIN price includes a 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.

Important Note: Sometimes I am asked what I exactly mean with ‘professionally inspected by Localtime’. Here is my theory on vintage watches: as a purveyor of vintage watches, my effort is to always do only what is needed to the watch. I do not buy ‘junk’ watches to resell. I am choosy with my purchases and always sell watches that are, to my knowledge, authentic and in good condition. I first inspect the watch, both visually (cosmetically) and then mechanically. If I judge that the watch is not yet in need of a full service then I do not put the watch through a service which, by the way, entails a lot of risks too. Instead, I give it what I call my ‘Spa’ treatment which will include a cleaning, changing of gaskets, oiling, lubricating and mechanical testing. If the plexi is heavily scratched or discoloured and it can not be cleaned, I change it. If the crown is wrong or worn, I also change it. Now, if the watch is in need of a full service, then my ‘professionally inspected’ description becomes ‘professionally serviced’. In both cases, I include a written warrantee with my buy it now price and I always describe what I have changed, if anything, on the watch.

Extra: Try our Localtime Cordura canvas straps! High quality Cordura canvas in 8 colours [black, blue, brown, khaki, green, orange, red and yellow] and 4 sizes [18-20-22-24mm with a 2mm tapering] with ‘Lorica’ waterproof liner, Italian-made. The length is 90mm including the steel buckle by 120mm on the tail side. Thickness-wise, they start at approximately 4mm and thin down to 3mm. They have two ring-holders: a fixed one and a semi-floating one with fabric ‘belt’ to hold the tail, for a safer and more comfortable fit. They will be a very welcomed upgrade to the either ‘naked’ canvas [no liner] or the calf-lined canvas which are considered of a ‘simpler’ quality. A pair of good quality spring bars will accompany each strap. I sell these separately in my eBay store under eBay item number 401496392712. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.
