Although the small firm of Ollech & Wajs Co. in Zürich-Switzerland never officially issued watches to any military, it designed many of its models around military needs. It sold its watches through a mail-order leaflet, primarily to American GI’s serving in Vietnam.

Here is one of their “Selectron Computer” models [Ref. 71038] with a 20 ATM WR and an aviator’s sliderule bezel that we have professionally serviced in-house at our Localtime Spa. It has an O&W-signed 17j mechanical movement with date window at 3h and a large, 39mm case. We have fitted this fine timepiece with a tan handmade premium calf leather strap handmade for Localtime in Italy, that we believe suits it quite nicely. We have made many photos of the watch, including some close-up macro snapshots we took just for fun.

As with all our watches that we service in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this also comes with a written 6-month warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact us for any questions you might have.

EXTRA! Check out our own Localtime straps: Handmade from premium calf leather to our specifications in Italy they come in 5 sizes [lug width/buckle width]: 18/16, 19/16, 20/16, 21/18 and 22/18mm & 4 colours: tan, brown, dark brown and black. We sell these separately in our eBay store under eBay item number 401105271426 and you can also see them in the last photo here.
