Professionally inspected and approved in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this is a nice example of a post-WW2 German army-issued [Deutsches Heer] timepiece by Phenix Swiss [A. Lugrin SA / Lemania SA] that bears the correct DH [Deutsches Heer] stamping on the caseback, on both sides of its serial number.
Military-issued Phenix watches used the AS Cal. 1130 which is also known as the Wehrmachtswerk [military movement]. As with most military-issued timepieces, we tend to do as little as possible to them, to maintain their originality, authenticity and provenance. In this case, we only lightly cleaned the case, plexi-glass, dial/hands and oiled the movement. We have fitted the watch with a NOS same-period black calf leather strap by “dp” that we think matches it quite nicely. We have made many photos, including many macro close-up shots to give you the opportunity to enjoy the well maintained details of this exquisite and historic timepiece.
As with all the watches we inspect in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this too will arrive to you with a 6-month written warrantee. Feel free to contact us for whatever questions you might have.
