A classy triple-calendar moonphase steel gents watch, this Ref.2471.1 by Omega houses the 17l manual-wind Cal. 27DLPC and has been professionally inspected in-house by Localtime. Serial number #10931913 places the production of the watch in 1944.
The steel case and hands are in very good condition. The watch case measures in at 35mm or 37mm if you count the logoed Omega crown. The main dial of the watch seems to be an old re-dial. It is wearing a plain croco-grain black calf leather strap that suits the watch quite nicely. All the functions of the watch work at the time of this listing.

Extra: Try my Localtime Tropical straps! Let’s face it, we all wish we could have the vintage, original type, but they are nowhere to be found anymore. If you do find them, they are very expensive or dry and stiff if they were not properly kept all these years. Not to mention the fact that 22 & 24mm are really rare as hen teeth. I have found these straps to be a good alternative to their vintage cousins and very comfortable. They come in 4 sizes [18, 20, 22 and 24mm] and with 2 smooth, floating keepers. The straps themselves come in 9 different colours and have a nice tropic pattern on them. Only the black one is available in 24mm for now. Their length is 85mm on the buckle end [including the steel buckle] and 120mm on the tail end; so not short but not too long either. I have included many photos when you scroll down, so you can get a better idea of what you are ordering. I will include a pair of good quality springbars too. These straps can be purchased separately from eBay item number 202822346003. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.
Important Note: Sometimes I am asked what I exactly mean with ‘professionally inspected by Localtime’. Here is my theory on vintage watches: as a purveyor of vintage watches, my effort is to always do only what is needed to the watch. I do not buy ‘junk’ watches to resell. I am choosy with my purchases and always sell watches that are, to my knowledge, authentic and in good condition. I first inspect the watch, both visually (cosmetically) and then mechanically. If I judge that the watch is not yet in need of a full service then I do not put the watch through a service which, by the way, entails a lot of risks too. Instead, I give it what I call my ‘Spa’ treatment which will include a cleaning, changing of gaskets, oiling, lubricating and mechanical testing. If the plexi is heavily scratched or discoloured and it can not be cleaned, I change it. If the crown is wrong or worn, I also change it. Now, if the watch is in need of a full service, then my ‘professionally inspected’ description becomes ‘professionally serviced’. In both cases, I include a written warranty with my buy it now price and I always describe what I have changed, if anything, on the watch.
Important Note On Straps/Bracelets: The straps I use on my watches [leather, canvas, suede, rubber] are always brand new, unless otherwise mentioned and, in most cases, I also sell them separately in my store, in different colours and sizes. In the case of metal bracelets, if the watch is NOS, the bracelet is also unused. If the watch is pre-owned with its original bracelet, then the bracelet is also pre-owned, unless otherwise mentioned. Either way, if in doubt, please ask.
