From the 1940’s a stunning, rare and untouched ANGELUS [Swiss] Chronodato chronograph that has been professionally serviced in-house here at the Localtime Spa.
The large solid 18k gold case houses the in-house Angelus Cal. 217 and measures in at 39mm or 41mm including the crown at 3h. Serial number # 65672 places its production in the mid-1940’s [unlike their steel or gold-plated siblings, solid gold Angelus cases had a 5-digit; not 6-digit serial number and were produced primarily for the European market]. The dial is just stunning and and has taken on a lovely and very even caramel colour throughout. It is wearing a handmade genuine large-grain croc strap in black. I photographed the watch with different cameras and in different conditions [inside and outside the studio but also outside in broad deaylight] in an effort to show you as much detail as possible. Chronodatos are difficult to photograph because of their very unique [and hard to find] plexi-glass [I sell these separately in my store, under eBay item number 201721881776], let alone this one with the gorgeous caramel dial.
As with all the watches I service in-house here at the Localtime Spa, the BIN price includes a written 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact me for whatever questions you might have.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please have a look at the very last photo I have included, which contains vital information on how to set the calendar on a Chronodato.
EXTRA! Check out my own Localtime straps: Handmade from premium calf leather to my own specifications in Italy, they come in 5 sizes [lug width/buckle width]: 18/16, 19/16, 20/16, 21/18 and 22/18mm & 8 colours: tan, brown, dark brown, black, cinnamon brown, olive green, denim blue and grey blue. I sell these separately in my eBay store under eBay item number 401105271426.
