“Named after the Gamaret wine grape, this sophisticated dial comes in a deep reddish-brown color with a hand-applied dégradé and a vertical brush finish. Gamaret was created by André Jacquinet in 1970 at the Station Fédérale de Recherches en Production Végétale de Changins, Switzerland. It was developed specifically to thrive in an alpine climate and makes a strong, color-rich red wine. Giving it even more depth, the dial comes with the Essence signature horizontal lines, each CNC machined into the dial base individually to achieve perfectly crisp angles. The date at 6 o’clock is color matched and the brush finish on the applied indices and hands are rounded off with hand-finished mirror polished bevels. These polished chamfers can be found throughout the watch; on the stainless steel case, the bezel, the bracelet and the deployment buckle with the patented fine adjustment system.

Movement: The Essence ThirtyNine is powered by Sellita’s highest quality grade SW200-1 Swiss Made Automatic movement, beautifully decorated and wound by Formex’s custom skeletonized rotor. Each one of these movements is certified by the COSC and undergoes the meticulous 15-day rate test to ensure extraordinary levels of mechanical accuracy and precision.

Dial: The horizontal lines on the dial are one of the watch’s most defining features. To achieve the crisp lines and sharp angles, each line has been CNC machined into the dial individually. The mirror polished bevels on the indexes and hands reflect the finishing of the case. With the new Gamaret reddish-brown dial, we add another unique look to the Essence collection.

Straps & Clasps: For a perfect fit and more comfort on the wrist at all times, we’re using the new Formex Deployante clasp with a gradual fine-adjustment system for the leather and rubber straps. The stainless steel bracelet, which reflects the same flawless finishing of the Essence’s case, has a hidden Micro-Extension. All straps and the steel bracelet can be changed without the use of any tools and in just a few seconds. Choose from the drop-down menu between black or brown leather, black rubber or stainless steel.
