A very, very important part of your movement that should be changed during service if you can. Over the years, stems are put in a lot of use and can also sometimes bend or get rusty from humidity … and carry that humidity inside your movement. These parts are getting harder and harder to find and, my advise is that one should keep a spare stem with their watch if they can, for its future service needs.
