Description

Professionally inspected in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this is a stunning example of a WW2 Vertex. An eye-catching watch from any angle you look at it, this WWW military timepiece is from one of the 12 brands known as “The Dirty Dozen’, that is to say, the 12 companies that supplied watches to the British MOD [Ministry of Defence] and bear what we also know as the broad arrow on both dial and caseback. Vertex WWWs used the 15j Revue Cal. 59 as they were produced by Revue Thommen. It is wearing one of our USM [US-Military NATO straps, details and variations of which you can see in our eBay store, under eBay item number 400929202772. We have made many photos, including many macro close-up shots to give you the opportunity to enjoy the well maintained details of this exquisite and historic timepiece. As with all the watches we handle in-house here at the Localtime Spa, this too will arrive to you with a 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact us for whatever questions you might have.

Some background on the particular watch:This particular watch was issued to Mr. Ronald Bennett who was a gunner with HRH Regiment Royal Artillery during WW2. Mr. Bennett gifted the watch to his godson in the early 1980’s before he passed [see last photos of the two gentlemen; the photo on the right shows Mr. Bennett during his service in WW2 and the photo on the left shows him in the very late 1960’s wearing the watch, playing with his godson]. Now with me and working like a charm, I plan to ‘let it be’ in honour of Mr. Bennett’s service and memory.
