“Blow the dust off the clock. Your watches are behind the times.
Throw open the heavy curtains which are so dear to you – you do not even suspect that the day has already dawned outside”.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn – Russian Novelist, Nobel Prize for Literature – Letter to the Secretariat of the Soviet Writers’ Union [12 November 1969].
The restoration of a watch can come in many types and forms. From a simple lubrication and regulation or a complete service of a movement, to re-plating a case or cleaning the hands and dial. As such, we take great pride in doing any or all of the above [sometimes even more] in a way that will not alter the original presentation of the watch. Our goal is not to make it look new, brighter or cooler, but rather to “take it back in time” as close as possible to how it looked when it first came out of its box.
